The Type of Bride You’ll be Based on Your Zodiac Sign.

Here at the Crystal Ballroom NJ, we’ve seen hundreds of brides and grooms get married. We work with these couples from the early stages of their engagement until the day-of their wedding. Every bride has moments of stress and anxiety, but also happy tears and big smiles. We decided to do a deeper look into how your zodiac sign impacts the type of bride you will be.

Aquarius (January 20^th to February 18^th):

Aquarius women are very fashionable, so they will have a wedding dress that perfectly coincides with the popular fashion trends at the time of their wedding. The color scheme of their wedding will be trendy as well – straight out of Pantone’s color of the year. Aquarius brides have an edgy side that typically push them to forgo classic wedding traditions. Rather than a first dance, they will just have an epic entrance and get everyone to join them on the dance floor. Rather than throwing a bouquet, they may toss customized wedding t-shirts into the crowd. They will be on the dance floor all night long!

Pisces (February 19^th to March 20^th):

Pisces women are typically hopeless romantics, but once they find that special someone, they will be dreaming about their wedding day 24/7! They have probably been planning their wedding in their imagination since they were 5 years old! Pisces tend to be one of the most emotional signs, so you can expect lots of tears during the ceremony, first look and first dance. Bridesmaids – keep a lot of tissues nearby!

Aries (March 21^st to April 19^th):

Aries brides will reach out to their bridesmaids and friends to help plan for the big day. They will be running decisions by others for reassurance. DIY is not for them, so they will have vendors for everything. When it comes to glitz and glam, they are very simple and prefer a more natural look. Light makeup and some curls will do. Aries know how to handle emotion because they’re so strong-willed. They may not cry on their wedding day, but they will cry the next day when it’s all over.

Taurus (April 20^th to May 20^th):

Taurus brides are the calmest! Their go-with-the-flow mindset will keep them stress-free during wedding planning and day-of coordination. They will not feel the stress of the chaos around them, but their bridal parties might! Typically, the Taurus bride will take her time wedding planning – she will not be rushing. Taurus are known for being foodies, so you bet they will have the most delicious cocktail hour. They are going to add every cocktail station possible and the dessert will be epic. These brides will not shy away from digging in on their big day! Don’t be surprised if you see a food truck outside at the end of the night.

Gemini (May 21^st to June 20^th):

Gemini’s make great hosts for parties so their wedding will be rockin! They are social butterflies so their bridal parties will be large, and their guest-list will be long. Gemini brides want everything perfect; they strive for their wedding to look like a Pinterest board. They are very nitty-gritty down to the last-minute details. They will be on top of their vendors weeks and days prior to the event. Gemini brides typically get upset if things don’t go according to plan, so we recommend taking advantage of our in-house wedding coordinators. Relax and let the professionals take care of it!

Cancer (June 21^st to July 22^nd):

Cancers are simple and traditional – they do not like to go over the top. They don’t need an estate for their venue, they would be happy with a small venue or even something in their backyard. They tend to have an appreciation for nature, so outdoor photos and ceremonies are a must! They like to keep old traditions such as having something new, something borrowed and something blue. They will keep their wedding small and intimate and will most likely have a guest book for guests to sign. They will spend most of the wedding making their rounds and thanking everyone for attending.

Leo (July 23^rd to August 22^nd): 

Leos are Boss Brides! Their partner won’t have much input in the planning because Leo’s are independent and get things done. They have a thing for being the center of attention and thrive under the spotlight. They will make sure all eyes are on them by asking their guests to wear a specific color – typically black. Leo brides book the top-notch hair and makeup vendors years in advance.

Virgo (August 23^rd to September 21^st):

Virgos are natural born planners, often referred to as the ‘perfect bride.’ Their organizational skills, attention to detail and high standards allow them to execute a wedding nothing short of perfection. Virgos typically want the ‘best of the best’ when it comes to photographers, music, food and venues. They focus more on their guests having a good time then their own.

Libra (September 22^nd to October 23^rd):

Libra brides are going to have an itinerary planned down to the minute. Family members and bridesmaids will get a detailed agenda for the weekend of the wedding. Libras tend to be boujee and have expensive taste. Their wedding dress will be high-end, and the décor will be immaculate. From flower walls to centerpieces, Libra weddings will have everything! Libra’s give themselves a very generous budget and still tend to overspend!

Scorpio (October 23^rd to November 21^st):

Scorpios are the most romantic and intimate of the signs. Their wedding day is all about purpose and love. Their ceremony will be meaningful, their vows will be intentional, and their guests will be emotional! Scorpio brides don’t focus on the nitty-gritty details, they focus on the love they share with their partner. They are not afraid of PDA – think Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker. These brides have had their ‘first dance’ song picked out for years and make their partner practice for weeks leading up to the wedding. They love to add small touches of personalization through décor, maybe including pieces that tell the story of their relationship or how they met.

Sagittarius (November 22^nd to December 21^st):

The wedding of a Sagittarius will be one for the books! This sign is the most adventurous so don’t be surprised when they plan a destination wedding. It is very unlikely that they follow typical wedding traditions. They will probably read their vows in private, and they may even perform a hip-hop routine instead of a romantic first dance. They have a small circle of friends so they may have a small bridal party or not one at all. They may just have a Maid of Honor and Best Man to stand by their side.

Capricorn (December 22^nd to January 19^th):

Capricorns are known to be ‘realists’ and the most logical of the signs. Therefore, they probably started wedding planning before even getting engaged! Despite their hard-working and successful mindset, they are very aware of the value of money and do not like to waste it. Capricorn brides will have a strict budget and enforce their partner to stick with it as well. They will splurge on things like photography, videography, venue, and catering because they have an appreciation for high-quality. Otherwise, they are going to ‘DIY’ decorations rather than pay vendors any hefty fees. Their wedding will be very minimalist. Capricorn brides tend to focus more on the memories and love rather than the decor and add-ons.
