As 2022 wraps up, we reflect on all the new music released this year. From country to pop all the way to soft romance. We thought it would be a perfect time to inspire our New Jersey brides and grooms with a list of the best first dance songs by genre.

A poll posted on our Instagram Story for our New Jersey banquet venue, Crystal Ballroom at the Radisson Freehold, asked followers to respond with their favorite first dance songs. We received classics such as “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri, “All of Me” by John Legend and “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis. Let’s face it – these will never go out of style.

For the country fans, we have country songs such as “Beautiful Crazy” by Luke Combs, “In Case You Didn’t Know” by Brett Young and “Die a Happy Man” by Thomas Rhett if you want to add a little bit of twang to your big day!

The biggest takeaway from this poll was that couples are steering away from traditional songs and adding their own twist. Choosing songs from the year they met or choosing upbeat songs that match their personality – giving the first dance a more modern and edgy feeling and leaving quite the impression on their guests! These types of songs include “High on Life” by Martin Garrix, “Runaway (U &I)” by Galantis and “We Found Love” by Rihanna.
