Taylor + Marques’ Wedding Day at the Crystal Ballroom

Taylor and Marques tied the knot at the Crystal Ballroom, located in the Radisson Hotel of Freehold, on Friday, March 31^st, 2023. We had the chance to interview them on their love story, and how they ended up choosing the Crystal Ballroom for their wedding day. Here’s what they told us!

Their Story

Taylor and Marques met through mutual friends at a ‘Friendsgiving Dinner.’ They hit it off and soon fell in love.

Their Proposal

Taylor visited Disney World with her mom and sister. Marques convinced her that he couldn’t go due to a busy work schedule. Little did she know, after dropping them off at the airport, Marques was going home to pack his own bag and hop on a different flight the next day.

Taylor and her family booked a photo pass in Magic Kingdom right in front of the castle. Mid-photoshoot, Taylor felt a tap on the back, and Marques was behind her down on one knee. She was so incredibly surprised, and her family was so relieved they pulled it off. “I had always dreamed of a magical Disney proposal, but it always seemed so out of reach.” Taylor shared. Marques brought her dreams to life, and it was the easiest ‘YES’ she has ever said.

Their Wedding Day

The couple actually stumbled upon the Crystal Ballroom on accident. During the early stages of wedding planning, Marques bumped into their touch-screen chrome book and accidentally clicked something about Hotels Unlimited’s ‘TWO-WEEK Wedding Sale.’ After viewing all the sister venues, the Crystal Ballroom was their favorite and the closest. Once they took a tour, they immediately fell in love with the ballroom and outdoor patio and knew it was the one!

The theme of their early spring wedding was dark green and gold with hints of blush. Cocktail hour was one of their favorite parts of their special day. From carving stations, to pasta, to a Mediterranean Market and 360° cheese display, nobody left hungry! When the guests entered the ballroom, they were greeted with a refreshing glass of champagne and were served a Classic Caesar Salad as an appetizer. For the main entrée, guests had a choice of NY Strip Steak or an Herb Roasted French Breast of Chicken. Throughout the night, bartenders served signature cocktails created by the couple. The ‘his’ cocktail was a ‘Call Me Old Fashioned’ made of whiskey, bitters, and simple syrup. ‘Hers’ was ‘The Blushing Bride’ a delicious mix of Tito’s vodka, club soda and a splash of cranberry juice.

The couple had their first dance surrounded by all their family and closest friends. They danced to “I’ll Be” by Edwin McCain, inspired by ‘A Cinderella Story’ with Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray. Some of their other favorite moments were their first look, taking photos and the photo dash during the reception. Taylor also loved getting ready with her bridesmaids and enjoying some much-needed girl time in the Honeymoon Suite.

After the wedding, the couple continued the celebration as some of their guests were spending the night at the Radisson of Freehold. Taylor and Marques stayed in the Honeymoon Suite and enjoyed coffee the next morning with their families. The couple traveled to Puerto Rico for a romantic Honeymoon.

“I keep catching myself looking at our wedding photos and wishing we could relive every moment.” Taylor reminisced.
